Hi thank you for being here. I am currently sitting by the front window at Tusk and watching people walk down Armitage. I am eating an apple. It is one of those weird days in Chicago where is it eerily warm and winds are whipping things around. There is cloud cover but the sun will step in and out. Not a sparkly day so there have not been many visitors.
I have taken a little bit of a break from things Tusk. I always feel guilty when I do that but I know it’s important that I do. It has been hard to get myself to work on things and send emails etc. I went and visited some people and places. I got to go to Portland and meet the wonderful Maya and see Lowell in person which I have admired for so long. It was a magical, inspired place and you must go if you find yourself there.
Settling back in after a little time away I knew I needed to shift some things around. I took down the hanging trays by Fick Patterson recently so I could hang up these works on paper by Evan McGraw. I feel so lucky to show these in the space. I was immediately struck by them last year when I saw images of them online. Alessandra’s sconces are still glowing on my east wall. I love walking by at night and seeing them.
I will use this for shop updates/musings I think and will post pictures of new things I add to the shop. I always do better with the in person, and have never been able to keep up a website. I am thinking this could be a way for people to have a look into Tusk world who can’t visit easily. I would also love to hear from you too!
Much love,
Mary Eleanor
I love this so much! And I love you!
